Hello experienced and inexperienced gardeners/ growers. I’m going to go over how I have successfully grown strawberries each year since I started this hobby! What I do could be different for others, these are just the tips and tricks I’ve done over the past few years. Learned and lost, I found the perfect steps for growing strawberries in my area.
First thing is first, you should pick the family of strawberries you are wanting to grow. I love growing everbaring strawberry plants, so this could be part of the trick. Who knows? You will just have to try these steps yourself and adjust as needed.
What you have probably been told or even read online in my opinion and experience has been misleading. I’ve always been told to take all the berries and runners off for the first three years to grow a good crown of strawberries.
